Privacy Policy

Last updated August 6, 2026

Your health information is sensitive, and we treat it that way. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us directly and a limited amount of technical information about how you use the site.

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Screening responses: the answers you provide about your symptoms and your animal
  • Consultation records created by the licensed clinician you speak with
  • Payment details, processed by our payment provider — we never store full card numbers
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed

How we use your information

  • To match you with a mental health professional licensed in your state
  • To deliver, revise, and renew your ESA letter
  • To process payments and issue refunds
  • To provide customer support and respond to your questions
  • To maintain the security, reliability, and legal compliance of our services

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the licensed clinician reviewing your request, and with service providers who help us operate — such as payment processing, email delivery, scheduling, and hosting. Those providers are contractually limited to using your data on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a person.

Landlord verification

If a housing provider contacts us to verify a letter, we confirm only the authenticity of the letter and the clinician's licensure. We do not disclose your diagnosis or your consultation notes.

How we protect your data

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and internal policies limiting who can view your records to the people who need them to do their job.

No online service can promise perfect security, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your email account secure.

Data retention

We keep consultation and letter records for as long as the treating clinician's professional and legal obligations require, and account information for as long as your account is active. After that, records are deleted or de-identified.

Your choices and rights

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete information we are not required to retain
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your progress through the screening, and understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, though some parts of the site may stop working.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian involved in the consultation.

Changes and contact

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email.
