What we do

CertifyESA is a technology platform that connects people with independently licensed mental health professionals. We are not a medical practice and we do not provide diagnoses, treatment, or letters ourselves.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian participate on your behalf
• You must reside in a state where a clinician on our platform is licensed
• You must provide truthful, complete, and current information

Clinician independence

Every clinical decision — including whether to issue a letter — belongs to the licensed professional, not to CertifyESA. Payment is for the evaluation, never for a guaranteed outcome.

No result is promised or implied by using our platform.

Payment

Fees are shown before checkout. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not submit false, misleading, or another person's information
• Do not alter, forge, resell, or reproduce a letter issued through the platform
• Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer the service
• Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose

Not legal advice

CertifyESA is not a law firm. Information on this site about housing rights and related laws is general education, not legal advice for your situation. Housing rules vary by state and locality, and a housing provider makes its own decisions.

Not emergency care

Our services are not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or considering harming yourself or someone else, call 988 in the US or your local emergency number right away.

Intellectual property

The CertifyESA name, site content, illustrations, and software are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without written permission. Your letter is yours to use for its intended purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertifyESA's total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including a housing provider's decision.

Changes, termination, and contact

We may update these terms; the date above will change and continued use means you accept the update. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
